App Requirements Checklist and Considerations

Ensure you complete the requirements in each of the following areas.

Amazon also outlines some additional requirements to consider while developing your application:

  • Create a simple and well-thought-out user experience that does not cause user confusion.
  • Be thoroughly tested and free of bugs, crashes, and obvious defects.
  • Provide visual indication that a user’s action has succeeded or failed.
  • Fail gracefully if the user tries to access unsupported functionality. For example, the app could display an error message that reads “This feature is not currently available.”
  • Use the full screen of the Fire tablet or Fire TV.
  • Remove all visual defects, such as missing, distorted, pixelated images; misaligned UI elements, or illegible text.
  • Ensure UI text is free of grammatical or spelling errors.
